As soon as your college, grad or professional student knows her/his mailing address for this academic year, please register for the OHEV SHALOM COLLEGE CONNECTION. Your student must be re-registered each year, even if contact info has not changed.
The College Connection sends token holiday gifts and e-mail messages about Jewish holidays and Ohev happenings, keeping our students part of the Ohev community. Favorites have been Starbucks gift cards at the beginning of the year, dreidels and gelt, trail mix for Tu Bishvat, and lottery tickets for Purim.
To register, use the online form below. The information is sent directly to our database. Please notify us when your student has graduated or is studying abroad. Students who are abroad will receive e-mails, but we do not send packages overseas.
Volunteers are needed for a very easy task. Packing and shipping the gifts is much easier when a few people work together for just an hour or so every few months. We gather at one of our homes over coffee and dessert, set up an assembly line, and are finished before we know it. Great conversation with other college parents. Please let us know if you can help.
We are able to send gifts to our students because of your generosity. We do not rely on synagogue funds. Please think of the College Connection Fund when you want to celebrate a simcha or remember someone special. Contributions may be made online or mailed to the synagogue.
