A DIFFERENT VOICE: WOMEN'S TORAH STUDY GROUP
No
knowledge of Hebrew or Bible experience is needed to participate
in this discussion group. We get together at each other's homes
to discuss the relevance of the Torah portion of the week to our
lives as Jewish women today. There are truly an infinite number
of connections! A different woman facilitates the discussion
each time we meet and the tone and themes are as individual as
each of us. You do not need to have a background in Jewish
studies to be a facilitator; most of us do not and we help each
other prepare. Although the discussions are great, and you will
want to come often, attendance at every session is not
required.
The
facilitator has the freedom to decide if she would rather
discuss the Haftarah portion of the week, or a special holiday
portion/Megillah portion when applicable.
