In this current political environment, Israel and Zionism are such charged topics that it can be difficult to talk about them. And yet, we must find a way to continue to engage not just with Israel, but with one another about Israel. In this class, we will explore the expressions of Zionism that we see around us today, and address some of the challenges to Zionism that have been raised in the wake of October 7th. Rabbi Kling Perkins will teach this class using materials compiled by the Hartman Institute in Jerusalem. Each class will include an optional podcast episode to listen to beforehand, only available to members of the class. Join us for this opportunity to come together with others from Ohev to learn, listen, and begin to find our own voices regarding these vital issues.

This course will either meet only on zoom or only in person. Please RSVP by February 3 to help us make the decision.
This class will be a place to have difficult conversations in a safe environment. Because of that, it is important that participants attend with regularity, to gain comfort with each other. Please only sign up for this class if you anticipate attending the majority of the sessions.
